Biblical Hebrew classes 2012

Mrs. J. Peace will be teaching Biblical Hebrew classes Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9. Group 1 class started October 2011, Group 2 class started Thursday, January 5th, 2012. These classes are aimed at helping you learn to read the entire Hebrew Bible (Tenakh) with the help of a dictionary. No prior knowledge of Hebrew is necessary. Please note this is a class on Biblical Hebrew only; it will not help you speak modern Hebrew. The full course is 57 weeks in length.

Textbooks are not provided, and are required for the course.

'Biblical Hebrew - a Text and Workbook'

by Bonnie Kittel, Rebecca Wright, and Vicki Hoffer

'Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew English Lexicon'

(sold in the Beth Shechinah Resource Room) and,

'Hebrew Tanakh' (may be proviced – details to follow)

Cost

Cost for the first semester (12 weeks) will be $75 payable to
Beth Shechinah.
Those who have already graduated the course may audit classes for
$5 per class or $25 per semester

Class Times

Monday at 7 p.m. - Group 1 - Advanced class (began October, 2011)

Thursday at 7 p.m. - Group 2 - Beginner class (began January 5, 2012)
